Le Clôt Saint Joseph
Our Gites and Rooms are grouped within 'a single building which is an old farm, built in 1811, following the Napoleon campaigns.
The most curious of our visitors will be able to verify it by scanning the frame from the garden.
Typical of the Vallouise architecture, this extraordinary frame, made in places of larch trunks over 12 m long, supports a building with arches and arches, 15 m high at the ridge.
The traditional larch shingle roof supports in winter sometimes more than 20 tonnes of snow, so it is an important structure of the house.
This construction, renovated over the years, has always retained its original structure, testimony to the architecture in Vallouise of the Napoleonic era
Our rooms are furnished with recent beds, in queen size (160cm) or twin beds, and single beds. Each has its private bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and hairdryer.
We can put a baby cot at your disposal on request.
The rooms are located on the 2nd floor of our house. You can come and go as you please via a dedicated access for our guests.
On the ground floor is the dining room where you can have breakfast.
